Seafarer Marine maintains a large stock of oversize teak for cap rails and covering boards and is the South Florida distributor for Teak Decking Systems' decks and supplies. We have pre-made teak and rubber panels in 8, 10, 11 & 12-foot lengths. The deck strips are 1/2" thick by 1 7/8" wide vertical grain teak with approximately 1/4" black caulk seams. Panels are available both thicker & longer and can be custom fabricated to meet your needs. We also have in stock 1/2" vertical grain teak boards for your margin board and hatch framing requirements.
For your convince, we carry pattern strips which are strips of doorskin plywood (thin plywood) that when connected together, effectively pattern your decks or other projects. They are sold in packs of 10 strips that are 2" wide and 8' in length. Provide us with your patterns and we will custom build to your specifications.
We recommend Teakdecking Systems Fitting Epoxy for gluing down your teak deck panels which is available in 1 or 2 gallon kits. Another main component needed is SIS440 deck caulk. This is available in white or black and is sold by the single cartridge or by the case to complete the caulking process during installation.
Once your decks are installed and it comes time to clean them, we recommend TCL200 Liquid Teak Cleaner or TCP100 Powder Teak Cleaner by Teakdecking Systems which are good for both your heavy duty or light cleaning needs. Both are safe for the environment and easy to use. All Teakdecking Systems products are considered non-hazzardous and are unique in that they can be shipped via airplane without violating hazardous waste and transportation regulations.
